Enhance Rogaine,Other Topical Treaments with Emu Oil
There has been an ongoing research effort in the Bio-Tech and Pharmaceutical industries to develop liposomes to improve the delivery of topical agents for the treatment of skin aging, and various skin disorders, including hair loss. The hair growth effects of certain topical treatments such as Copper peptides, Minoxidil (Rogaine), Ketoconazole (Nizoral), Pyridine -N-Oxides, Retin A, to name a few, are well established. Utilizing any of these compounds in conjunction with liposomes greatly enhances their penetration, residence time, and ultimately hair growth effects. A significant drawback to liposomal formulas recently developed by Pharma and the Bio-Tech is that they are exceedingly expensive.
Emu Oil is by itself, a well documented hair growth stimulant. Being a natural liposome, Emu oil is also used as a highly cost effective "carrier" for other products.
To increase the activity of any topical treatment of your choice, follow its’ application after 5 or so minutes with a few drops of Emu Oil.
Emu oil pushes more active ingredient product into the skin. The following illustration is from Dr. Pickart, inventor of Tricomin, and founder of the Bio-tech company Skin Biology, showing how “Biological Healing Oils” such as Emu Oil, can either enhance or modulate penetration of concurrently applied Skin Repairing Copper Peptides (SRCPs).
To make the products more mild, apply Emu Oil first. This will create a barrier that will slow down penetration. Those who use Retin A for both hair growth and as a facial anti-aging agent will find this eliminates any irritation associated with its use.
Does Emu Oil also tighten sagging skin and get rid of wrinkles?
In a word, yes. Collagen functions as a fibrous cushion between layers of skin and keeps the skin tight, smooth, elastic and wrinkle free. As we age our ability to produce collagen progressively declines. With less collagen, the epidermis (outside skin) folds and collapses. This creates sagging and wrinkles, even on skin that has had negligible UV exposure.
Clinical studies have shown that in addition to ameliorating inflammation and stimulating hair growth, Emu Oil actually regenerates collagen. If used on the face, you will immediately notice both the firming and softening effects. Used 2-3 times daily for 4-6 weeks you will visibly see your skin tighten and plump up and your wrinkles diminish. Depending on how many and how deep the wrinkles it may take up to 9 months to fully erase them. Keep in mind, Emu Oil is a natural product with no side effects. It takes seconds to apply and absorb, which you can discretely do yourself anywhere, any time.
I personally apply Emu Oil twice on my face during the day, and before retiring in conjunction with Retin A, another well documented collagen stimulator. This combination will, in relatively short order significantly smooth out and firm the most weather beaten and slackest of complexions. Because I use Retin A, I use my morning application of Emu Oil in combination with an organic sunscreen, (Aubrey Organics and Soleo are the best).
Actresses Catherine Zeta Jones and Charlize Theron are both known to be regular users of a simple Emu Oil/ Retin A/Sunscreen at day combo. Not surprisingly, their complexions are firm and flawless.
Comparing Emu Oil to other options such as plastic surgery, botox injections, collagen injections or fat injections, it is evident that Emu Oil has no harmful side effects – short term or long term, is pain free, does not require you to go anywhere, does not involve anyone else and is by comparison, cost negligible.
It is critical when using Emu Oil for either hair growth stimulation or facial aging, to use low temperature processed Emu Oil, that optimally, has been fed a grain free diet by way of free range grazing in a natural environment.
