Zinc supports your body’s natural immune response. But zinc deficiency is common, especially in older people. This can contribute to aging-related decline in immune function. But zinc supplementation supports aging immune systems, as well as healthy inflammatory and antioxidant responses.  Zinc in addition to decreasing shedding, also increases testosterone and functions as a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor, making it an excellent adjunct to any hair loss intervention.
